Stickers
Since 2016, we’ve plastered “this show passes the Bechdel test” stickers onto posters at festivals such as Edinburgh Fringe, VAULT, and Brighton Fringe.
Intended to counteract the competitive tradition of “star ratings” pasted onto show posters, our stickers don't pass judgement on the quality of shows, but exist to highlight shows that don’t centre the experiences of cis men.
We reference the Bechdel Test* to encourage everyone to consider who's centred in the shows they see. We want audiences to wield their ticket-buying power in support of artists of marginalised genders*.
